Key tourism sites in Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa and Anuradhapura will close from May 22-30, it was announced on Thursday.
This came after the government announced a closure of the airport for incoming passengers including tourists from May 21 to 31.
National Cultural and Tourism Director Upul Bandaranayaka has issued a statement that according to the instructions of the Director General, tourism establishments are to be informed that the Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa and Anuradhapura will close from May 22 - 30. (SD)
