Tourist arrivals to Sri Lanka today passed the two million mark with the arrival of two French nationals.
They arrived on a SriLankan flight from UK today afternoon.
Raphael Caron and his wife Claire Charlet who arrived on a two week visit to Sri Lanka helped to pass the two million mark.
The arrivals have been the highest since 2018 when 2.3 million arrivals were recorded.
Sri Lanka tourism promotional officers were at the airport to welcome the tourists.

The United States has told Sri Lanka that the disposition of the Iranian naval vessel IRIS Bushehr and its crew is a matter for Colombo to resolve under its own laws and international obligations, while signalling it is in active talks with Sri Lanka to contain Iran’s threat to US interests.
The government today granted permission for an Iranian warship with 208 on board to enter the country.
