A private tuition master from Ampara has been arrested and remanded until January 26 on allegations of leaking the second paper for the Agriculture G.C.E (A/L) before the examination.
Investigations have revealed that the tuition master also had a copy of the first paper of the same subject saved on his phone. However there was no evidence he had made it public before the examination.
The Examination Department has said they will be holding a fresh examination for the second paper. However, no decision has been taken regarding the first paper.
Meanwhile an employee, who served at an examination centre in Ampara also has been arrested by the CID, following revelations that he leaked the second paper of the Agricultural subject ahead of students sitting for the particular subject at the GCE A/L examinations .
