Two 16-year-old boys have been killed in separate motorcycle accidents yesterday (26).
In one accident that occurred in Bingiriya, a motorbike traveling towards Bowatta on the Bowatta-Kuliyapitiya Road crashed when the motorcyclist lost control of the motorbike. Two persons who were on the bike at the time of the accident were admitted to the Kuliyapitiya Hospital, where the pillion rider succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased was identified as a 16-year-old resident of Dummalasooriya.
In the other accident that took place in Hakmana, a motorbike crashed into the back of a double cab and then struck a car traveling on the opposite side of the road. The motorcyclist and pillion rider who were injured in the accident were admitted to the Gangodagama Hospital, where the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries,.
The victim was identified by police as a 16-year-old resident of Mahagedarawatta, Hakmana.
Hakmana Police are conducting further investigations.
