Two accomplices of underworld mobster Dematagoda Chaminda’s son, Maleesha Akash, have been arrested, the STF said today (April 29).
The officers of the STF Intelligence Unit acting upon information received, had conducted a raid in an apartment complex at Dematagoda.
Subsequently, two suspects, aged 23 and 41, residents of Dematagoda and Borella were arrested for possession of 7g 550 mg and 80 drug pills.
Upon investigation, it was revealed that they are accomplices of the underworld mobster, Sirinayaka Pathiranage Chaminda Ravi alias Dematagoda Chaminda’s son, Maleesha Akash.
The suspects were handed over to the Dematagoda Police for further investigation.
