Two persons who cultivated three Cannabis farms in Udawalawa have been arrested, the Special Task force (STF) said today (April 22).
According to information received by the STF officials of the Udawalawa Camp, they conducted a raid in the Kahakurullanpelessa area of Thanamalwila.
Subsequently, two suspects aged 39 and 40 and residents of Thanamalwila were arrested for cultivating three farms of Cannabis, containing 20,150 plants.
Thirty plants have been handed over to the Thanamalwila Police Station for further investigation. The rest of the plants have been burned.
