Two suspects wanted in connection with the double murder in front of the 'Devundara Sri Vishnu Devalaya' in Devundara, Gandara have been arrested after surrendering to police.
The two were wanted in connection with the incident where two persons traveling on a motorbike were shot dead on Sinhasana Road in front of the 'Devundara Sri Vishnu Devalaya' on the night of March 21. Several police teams including the Gandara Police and the Homicide and Organised Crime Investigation Division are investigating the double murder.
Accordingly, two suspects aged 26 and 35 years who were being sought for the crime were taken into custody by the Homicide and Organised Crime Investigation Division yesterday (7) after surrendering to the Gandara Police through their lawyers. The suspects are residents of Gandara and Devundara.
The Homicide and Organised Crime Investigation Division is conducting further investigations.
