Two persons have been arrested by Kurunegala police while digging about 10 feet deep inside a house in Udawalpola, Kurunegala.
Police said the duo, a male and female, both aged 60 are residents of Kurunegala and Hatton. The suspects have used Hilti electric drilling machines and dug about 10 feet in depth searching for treasure, Kurunegala police said.
The suspects are to be produced before Kurunegala Magistrate Court.
