Two arrested with a rifle in a Sugar factory

The Special Task Force (STF) has arrested two suspects in a raid on a sugar factory in Agbopura on Monday (October 24) for possession of a rifle.

On information received by the STF Kantale Camp, under the guidance of ASP M. T. M. Rilwan, officials including the Camp Commanding Officer D. J. S. P. Gunasekara raided a sugar factory in Agbopura on Monday.

Consequently, two suspects, residents of Peraru and Raja Ela, aged 42 and 51, who were arrested for possession of a rifle and two bullets, were handed over to the Agbopura Police Station for further investigation.
