A male and a female, both aged 22, were killed and another male suffered serious injuries after they were hit by a train at the Dehiwala Railway Station today.
The victims were part of a group of students at a vocational training centre in Balapitiya that had arrived in Colombo this morning to visit the Dehiwala Zoo.
The deceased male is a resident of Karandeniya while the female is a resident of Ambalangoda.
Further investigations are ongoing. (PCK)
