The US Embassy today handed over 4700 PCR test kits worth Rs 13 million to the Health Ministry.
The stocks were symbolically handed over to State Minister of Production, Supply & Regulation of Pharmaceuticals Prof. Channa Jayasumana by US Embassy officials today. State Minister of Primary Healthcare, Epidemics and COVID Disease Control Dr Sudarshini Fernandopulle was also present on the occasion, along with senior health ministry officials.
The donated PCR test kits will be distributed to PCR laboratories island-wide, the Health Ministry stated.
