All universities in the island are to reopen on April 27, Minister of Education Prof. G.L. Peiris said.
Addressing a news briefing today he said it would be done strictly following health guidelines. Accordingly, he said, due to an issue with opening hostels, only third- and fourth-year students would be allowed in first. Classes for first- and second-year students are expected to commence later, he said.
