Babulla District New Democratic Front (NDF) MP Chamara Sampath Dassanayake, who was arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), was remanded in custody till April 1 by the Colombo Magistrate's Court.
He was arrested by the Bribery Commission on three separate bribery charges stemming from when he was Chief Minister of the Uva Province. He was granted bail in connection with two of the charges but was remanded over one charge.
