Vadivel Suresh steps down for SJB position in protest
Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Deputy General Secretary Vadivel Suresh today said he was stepping down from all the positions he held in protest of the party leader Sajith Premadasa failing to attend a public rally organised in the Passara area.
He said that his party supporters had waited for hours until Mr Premadas arrived for the meeting and eventually was told that the Opposition Leader was unable to attend the meeting as he had taken ill.
However, he said that it was revealed that Mr Premadasa was due to attend the rally in Welimada area later in the evening.
