The Department of Motor Traffic has extended the validity period of driving licenses due to expire between April 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022.
As per an Extraordinary Gazette notification issued by Transport Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi, all driving licenses that were due to expire within the period commencing from April 1, 2021 and ending on September 30, 2021 have been extended for a period of one year by the department.
The department has also extended the validity period of all driving licenses expiring duing the period commencing from October 1, 2021 and ending on March 31, 2022 by a further six months.
