Vavuniya Regional Campus upgraded to University of Vavuniya
The Vavuniya Regional Campus of the University of Jaffna has been upgraded as “University of Vavuniya" by the Education Minister with more dedicated faculties assigned to the new university.
Giving legal effect to the upgrading of the regional campus, an Extraordinary gazette notification(2231/5) has been issued by Education Minister G.L. Peiris declaring that the new university will be operational from August 1.
Initially three faculties namely: Business Studies, Applied Science and Technology Studies are to be setupped in the university.
