Veteran Singer Priya Sooriyasena passes away
Beloved singer Priya Sooriyasena passed away this morning at the age of 80 while receiving treatment at the General Hospital.
Born in 1944, Mr Sooriyasena's songs touched the hearts of generations of Sri Lankans.
His contributions to Sri Lankan music will always be remembered, and his legacy will continue to live on through his timeless songs.
The mortal remains of the veteran singer is scheduled to be placed at his residence on School Road in Nugegoda, Gangodawila, for the public to pay their final respects.
