Police today (28) sought public support to trace three adults who used a child to rob a gold chain from a jewellery shop in Colombo.
The robbery had taken place on June 22 at a jewellery shop in Sea Street Colombo where a chain worth Rs 275,000 has been robbed.
The CCTV footage of the shop shows a male and two females distracting the staff in the pretext of buying jewellery while the child robs a chain that was on display.
Police have released this footage to the media seeking public support to apprehend the culprits. Public are requested to contact the telephone numbers below if they have any information of the suspects in the video.

A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
Update: Five of the twelve passengers on board the bell 212 aircraft that crashed into the Maduru Oya today, have succumbed to their injuries, the SLAF said.
