The Wages Board has issued the gazette notification stipulating Rs. 1350 as the daily wage and Rs.350 as the productivity-based incentive for the tea and rubber manufacturing trades.
The total daily wage will add up to Rs. 1700, according to the notification issued under the Wages Board Ordinance.
Objections to the proposal will be received by the chairman of the Board by 12.00 noon on August 28, according to the gazette notification.
Every objection should be submitted in writing with a statement indicating the reasons for such objection to the Department of Labour, H. K. K. A. Jayasundera, Chairman of the
Wages Board for the tea growing /rubber growing and tea/ rubber Manufacturing trade said in the notification.
