Meanwhile, present wet weather conditions over the Northern, Eastern, Uva, Central and Southern Provinces are likely to enhance today and tomorrow, the Met. Department further noted.
Much of the island will see cloudy skies today. A few showers are due in Anuradhapura District.
Northern, Eastern, Uva, Central and Southern Provinces along with Polonnaruwa District may come across occasional rains.
Parts of Eastern and Uva Provinces besides Hambantota District will have heavy rainfall over 100mm.
