The showery condition over the South-western part of the country is likely to enhance during the next few days, the Meteorology Department forecasted.
Showers are expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts with heavy rainfall expected in the Sabaragamuwa province, Kalutara, Matara, Galle, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts.
The Met Department said fairly strong gusty winds will blow across the western slope of central hills, Northern, North-central and North-western provinces and in Hambantota and Trincomalee districts.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in the Uva province and Ampara and Batticaloa districts.
