Ms Jinawathi Kumarihamy Gopallawa Aluvihare, widow of former Minister Alick Aluvihare passed away.
She is the mother of former state ministers Ranjith and Wasantha Aluvhiare, former Matale Mayor Daljith Aluvihare and, Sahni and Manoranjani Aluvihare.
Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa paid last respects to the wife of the former Minister yesterday. The cremation takes place at the Matale crematorium at 5.00 p.m. on Saturday, the family said.
