The woman who was in custody over the discovery of a gold-plated T-56 assault rifle reportedly owned by former Minister Duminda Dissanayake was released on bail today.
The order to release the suspect came two days after former Minister Dissanayake arrested over the incident was released on bail by the Colombo High Court.
The woman was arrested when the weapon was detected in her car at the Havelock city apartment complex.
Colombo High Court ordered that the woman be released on a cash bail of Rs. 250,000 and two surety bails of Rs. 2.5 million each.
