A Lankan woman was arrested by the Customs while attempting to smuggle gems out of the country.
Officials said the gems, worth Rs.291 million were to be smuggled to India today (30) morning. She was arrested at the departure terminal of the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).
The suspect, a resident of Orugodawatte had the gems hidden inside the clothes she was wearing.
