A 42-year-old woman from Chunnakam, Jaffna has been arrested by police after a large haul of illegal cigarettes was found inside her house.
Chunnakam police said they raided a house following a tip and found over 15,000 cigarettes manufactured in Kuwait. Police said the suspect has been previously involved in the sale of illegal cigarettes sent to Sri Lanka hidden inside baggage from the middle eastern country.
