Four women including a police woman constable and a man were arrested over a drug racket yesterday.
According to information received the Ambagas Dowa police arrested a four women and a man who were possessing Heroin.
Among the women was a Police Constable (PC) who was residing at the police quarters.
When she was arrested at her residence she was in possession of Four grams and 200 millgams of Heroin. Apart from that Rs 26 000 of money which is suspected as earnings made by selling drugs was also taken into police custody.
The woman PC was attached to Badulla Headquarters inspector office.
After interrogation the police constable have revealed that there other women who are at the ages of 43, 41, 71 were involved in the racket.
They too had 2g 500mg and 3g 400mg and 80 mg of heroin while the male suspect had 2g and 200mg of the same substance.
The suspects and the drugs have been handed over to the Badulla police, to be produce before courts.
