Members of the Sri Lanka Youth Club Federation staged a protest over the process of forming new youth clubs today.
The protestors also demanded a meeting with representatives of the National Youth Services Council (NYSC) after they arrived to the premises of the NYSC at Maharagama.
Federation members explained that they were disappointed over the newly elected officials of the youth clubs.
Representatives of the Sri Lanka Youth Club federation pointed out that persons with less experience were appointed to key positions at the district and Board level, while there were much more suitable personnel available.
