All prisoners will be able to call their homes three minutes a week, as Prisons Department has stopped visitor arrivals due to COVID threat, a spokesman of the Prisons Department said.
He said Sri Lanka Telecom has provided a one-month free of charge phone call facility exclusively for Prisons Department.
All calls will be supervised by prison officers, he added.
