A group identifying themselves as the Anti-Ragging Committee (ARC) of the Aava group have displayed posters against ragging at the Jaffna University.
The group warned that those involved in ragging freshers would be punished and such acts must be immediately stopped.
In response to these posters, student unions at the Jaffna and the South Eastern University issued statements last morning assuring that incidents of ragging will not take place in future.
The ARC of the Aava group had pasted posters across the Faculty of Arts at the Jaffna University.
