Actor Ryan Van Rooyen who was deported from Dubai yesterday (Apr 04) has been handed over to the Weligama Police.
The suspect has been handed over by the Criminal Investigations Department in order to carry out a questioning regarding the recent discovery of cannabis in his vehicle.
Meanwhile, four other suspects who were also deported from Dubai yesterday are being questioned by the CID at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara said.
The other suspects have been identified as Mohamed Waseemdeen, D. Surantha Perera, S. Kavindya Silva and Charith Pathman.
A total of 31 suspects including Makandure Madush were arrested in Dubai last month out of which 13 have been deported so far.
