The Attorney General today filed fresh indictments against former Minister Basil Rajapaksa and former Director General of the Divi Neguma Department Kithsiri Ranawaka.
The charges were filed over the printing of five million almanacs allegedly utilizing Rs.29 million in funds belonging to the Divi Neguma Department.
These fresh indictments come 24 hours after the AG withdrew the charges filed against the two men on the same case.
The case was withdrawn yesterday by the AG's Department citing a technicality. It informed courts that the charge sheet would be amended and fresh indictments filed in the case.
