The Attorney General has responded in writing to the Commission of Inquiry (CoI) looking into acts of political revenge stating that it has no judicial power to queston the AG's functions before the Trial-at-Bar.
The AG's letter was sent in response to a summons issued by the CoI to the AG for not taking action to halt trials until the Commission concluded hearings into complaints of political revenge lodged with the CoI. The Commission had also asked the AG to give an explaination by March 11 for his failure to halt the trials.
