The Attorney General has sought clearance from the relevant authorities to gain access and resume work at the AG’s Department, the AG's Coordinating Officer State Counsel Nishara Jayaratne said.
This is in the wake of PCR tests conducted on all private security officers at the AG's Department proving negative for Covid -19, she added.
The AG's Department premises had been declared out of bounds after a female security officer attached to the department was diagnosed with COVID-19. The six security officers who underwent PCR tests were those who had close contact with her.
