The Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team of the Air Force has been deployed to clear the Fort Railway station this morning.
"This is a part of our ongoing security measures. However, so far no explosives have been found at the railway station," Air Force Spokesman Group Captain Gihan Senaviratne told Times Online.
Further, a Bell 212 helicopter has also been positioned at Rifle Green in Colombo for Bambi bucket fire dousing operations should the need arise.
