Niraj Roshan alias ‘Ali Roshan’ and six others were granted bail by the Colombo Special High Court.
The individuals were released on a bail of Rs 100,000 each and two surety bails of Rs 2.5 million each.
Meanwhile, the passports of the individuals have also been impounded. The seven were summoned over charges of being in possession of four elephants without avalid license.
The case will be taken up again on November 8. This is the third case taken up by the Special High Court.
