All liquor shops,slaughter houses,casinos,betting centers and clubs should be closed down on April 29, 30 as both days declared as Vesak days,the Government Information Department said. The Government also declared Vesak week starting from April 26 to May 2.
Accordingly, the sale of meat and liquor at supermarkets will also be prohibited during those two days (29th & 30th April).
