Perpetual Treasuries Limited (PTL) owner, Arjun Aloysius has filed a motion at the Colombo Chief Magistrates' Court calling for two more individuals to be named as suspects in the Central Bank Bond Scam case.
The motion sought to name Deputy Governor of the Central Bank, Nandalal Weerasinghe and retired Deputy Governor Ananda Silva as suspects in the ongoing case.
Mr. Aloysius, in the petition claimed that the CID had failed to arrest and enforce the law in relation to the said individuals although their names were mentioned in the Bond Scam report.
Accordingly, the Chief Magistrate had informed the lawyer representing Mr. Aloysius to forward this request on February 25 while adding that it was of relevance to the ongoing case.
The magistrate said that the request should be put forward at the time when the relevent details pertaining to the case will be taken up.
