Recently an ambulance belonging to the ‘1990’ free pre-hospital care emergency ambulance service met with an unfortunate accident in Mathugama.
The ambulance tumbled down a hilly area injuring the driver. Investigations are underway to ascertain the cause of the accident.
The service operates with trained paramedics supported by the India governmen. The service is in operation in Hambantota, Matara and Galle districts.
