Mahason Balakaya leader Amith Weerasinghe who was arrested over the recent unrest in the country has been remanded until May 28.
The remand order was issued when the suspect was produced before Colombo Additional Magistrate Shalani Perera today (May 13).
Weerasinghe was arrested yesterday over charges of disrupting peace, and religious co-existence in the country.
During today's hearing, court instructed the Police to submit a report on the investigations concerning the suspect, in due course.
