Another Local Govt. member arrested over Digana violence

Another local government councilor has been arrested by the Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) for his alleged involvement in the recent violent incidents in Digana, Kandy. 

The suspect has been identified by police as a newly elected member of the Kundasale Pradeshiya Sabha (PS). The councilor is from the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP).

Several other SLPP local government members had earlier been arrested by police over their alleged links to the violence in Kandy.
