National People's Movement (NPM) Presidential candidate Anura Kumara Dissanayake will contest the upcoming poll under the symbol of a compass, an NPM spokesman said.
Meanwhile, Battaramulle Seelarathana Thero and Sarath Manamendra had filed objections against the candidature of M.K. Sivajalingam and M.L.A.M. Hisbullah respectively.
These complaints had been rejected by the Election Commission, its Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya declared.
Battaramulle Seelarathana Thero and Sarath Manamendra are also contesting this year's presidential election under the Jana Satha Peramuna and Nawa Sihala Urumaya parties respectively.
