The former Arachchikattuwa Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Jagath Samantha who was evading arrest surrendered to courts.
The suspect, the brother of State Minister Sanath Nishantha was wanted by the police on allegations that he was also responsible for clearing the mangroves in order to set up a prawn farm in the area.
The court ordered him to be remanded till September 24

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has interdicted Colombo Fort Magistrate Kosala Senadheera.
