Archbishop of Colombo, Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith held a press conference today (18) to brief the media on the special program that will take place to commemorate the 1st year anniversary of the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks.
Prayers for the victims will be held in Catholic Churches coming under the Archdiocese of Colombo on April 16, 17 and 18 while special programs will also be held on April 19 and 20.
On April 21, a two minute silence will be observed countrywide from 8.45am in respect to the victims while the bells of all churches will ring at 8.47am. Mass will be held at the two Catholic Churches that were targeted in the attack: St. Anthony's Church in Kochchikade and St. Sebastian's Church in Katuwapitiya, starting from 9.00am.
