Owner of Perpetual Treasuries Limited, Arjun Aloysius arrived at the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into the Issuance of Treasury Bonds this morning.
The Attorney General's (AG) Department had informed the Commission yesterday that the whereabouts of Mr Aloysius was unknown and that Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officers who visited his residence had been unable to issue the summons issued to appear before the Commission.
The Commission issued summons on Arjun Aloysius yesterday after the AG's Department proved that had obtained inside information regarding Treasury Bond auctions. The revelations came after the AG's Department played unedited recordings of phone conversations between Arjun Aloysius and Perpectual Treasuries Ltd. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kasun Palisena. The recordings had been deleted by Perpetual Treasuries Chief Dealer Nuwan Salgodo.
