Minister of Transport, Arjuna Ranatunga has launched a new Facebook page to facilitate a platform for the public to provide their opinion and feedback on public transport.
The Facebook Page which has been named as "Arjuna Ranatunga - Inquiries Centre" has been launched in a bid to provide a friendly and efficient tranposrt service to the people.
The General Public will also be able to notify the Minister of any irregularities in the transport sector via the Facebook page.
Addressing a special ceremony at the Transport Ministry, Mr. Ranatunga said that one of the new year resolutions of the Ministry was to provide a quality transport service.
Minister Ranatunga had also called on all officials in the Transport Ministry to work for the better future of this country while avoiding the privatisation of public tranpsort.
