Army Commander, Lieutenant General Shevendra Silva, has instructed to postpone all commemorative arrangements in connection with the forthcoming 71st Army Anniversary.
The decision has been taken in view of detection of infected COVID-19 clusters from Gampaha district.
A series of religious ceremonies and other formalities was earlier scheduled to be held on 10th October at Galle Face Green, graced by HE the President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to commemorate the anniversary.
