Sri Lanka Army celebrated its 67th Anniversary yesterday. The anniversary celebrations began with a series of multi religious ceremonies held at various places of worship beginning from the Sri Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Tooth) in Kandy and culminating at a Pirith Chanting and alms giving ceremony at Panagoda Sri Bodhirajaramaya.
The Hindu religious ceremony was conducted at the Sri Ponnambalam Vaneshwarar Kovil in Kotahena while the Islamic prayers session was held at the Jumma Masjidh in Colpetty and the Christian Service, at the All Saints´ Church in Borella.
