An army officer has died, while nine were left injured in an accident involving an army jeep in Mullaitivu today (Jul 14).
Army Spokesman Brigadier Sumith Atapattu said the jeep had toppled due to a mechanical failure.
The soldier, who had taken leave off his official duties, had met with his tragic fate while returning to his home.
The injured officers are currently receiving treatment at the Mullaitivu Hospital.
