Around 800 persons in three villages under lock down in the Jaffna district are being quarantined, Dr. A. Kethesswaran, Director Health Services Northern Province said.
Two villages in the Jaffna town coastal area are already under lockdown after two persons were identified with COVID. They were close associates of the Peliyagoda fish market cluster.
The third village, Rajakiramam in Point Pedro is also under lock down after a person was identified as COVID-positive in that area where 60 families are isolated.
