Australia supporting skills development in local tourism industry
The Australian High Commission together with the Ministry for Skills Development and Vocational traing launched a programme titled Skills for Inclusive Growth.
The Australian government will provide Rs 1.6 billion in technical assistance over four years to strengthen the tourism sector through training and mentoring for employess and small businesses, joint statement said.
The agreements between the Australian High Commissioner Bryce Hutchesson and Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe were exchanged today.
